PGR 3 and Burnout Paradise
Yep, Project Gotham Racing is old, ancient history now that #4 is out. But I don’t have 4, I have 3 and it only cost me $5, so that’s what I played for a couple hours last night. It’s not bad as far as racing games go but it takes a while to get used to the handling, especially considering I like the arcadey style racers, namely the Burnout series.

And speaking of Burnout, Paradise is now available in demo form on XBox Live! (and for PS3 I believe) I snagged that today and tried it out for a half hour or so and from the little bit you can play it looks awesome. It’s one of those games that I’ll have to own, I just hope I can pick it up for $50 somewhere, most stores around here charge $70 for new 360 games.
Burnout handles like a racing game should handle. It’s blazing fast, the graphics are top notch and the cars turn on a dime. I know it’s not realistic. I don’t want realistic. I want fast and fun, it is a game after all. In the meantime I guess I’ll play a little more PGR3 just to unlock some more achievements.
