While playing Rock Band at a friends house the other day we were yakking about what new songs we’d like to see in the game. He thought some of my choices were a little retarded, but then some of his were out to lunch too if you ask me. Tipa at West Karana just had a post about songs she’d like to see in the game as well, which presented me a perfect opportunity to bore you all with some of my picks.

Most of these were chosen by the guitar minded side of me. I don’t have the drum set and I can’t sing for shit, so for me it’s all about guitar. One of my choices, the Kids in the Hall Theme (Having an Average Weekend, for those that always wondered the real name of the tune) has no vocals what-so-ever, so that song really belongs in Guitar Hero, not Rock Band, but too bad, it’s my list.

Redneck Rampage just sounds like it would be fun to play although the intro should probably be chopped out due to it’s content. For those that bother to listen to playlist, Mojo Nixon isn’t quite what I’d call work safe.

Ultimately, it’s very hard to pick just 10 songs. ZZ Top alone has several I’d like to be able to play. Even though La Grange is already in GH3, I want it in Rock Band so I don’t have to keep switching games just for that song. There are others in GH3 that I love to play though, mostly the 80s hair metal (Scorpion & Poison). Given more time I’m sure I could refine this list a little better, but I’m busy.
