Eternal Sonata

This is a pretty good little RPG for the Xbox 360, but it seems to be confused as to what style the combat should be. It’s turn based, or at least it started out that way, but every time I go up a ‘party level’, you get less and less time to do stuff during your turn. So far it’s not proving to be much of a problem (except for that time I went for a drink during a cut scene and came back to find my dudes half dead in a boss fight that didn’t wait for me).

The story is good though and keeping me somewhat interested, although the more I play the more cut scenes I skip. I’m about 10 hours in so far and it feels like it’s barely started, so this could take up a bit of time to complete. As with most RPGs on the 360, I doubt I’ll put in the massive amount of time to get all the achievements, especially after hearing that you have to play through it a couple of times to get everything. Also, my biggest peeve with the game is how all the “kids” stand around with their arms CONSTANTLY sticking out like they’re trying to block a doorway or something. Yes, I’m weird. Other than that, good game, go play it if you haven’t already.
