Last year we were at Lake Louise Ski Area for a few days for a skiing trip with friends from Japan – we had bought some north face backpacks for hiking at the Banff National park but didn’t make it there for we got too busy doing stuff at the Ski resort. So this year – we’ve decided to go again – because the entire family enjoyed the trip so much.

The place was very nice – the gondola prices were reasonable and it wasn’t as crowded as in the other resorts. The snow condition was excellent – and it’s very refreshing to be there and the Lake Louise trail was a lot easier on the younger kids. I love the trail going back down because after a day or two of skiing we all were becoming expert – by the time we went home – we long to go back – and I had promise the kids that we will. So this trip next year – we are definitely heading to the National park with our picnic all packed in our backpacks.

The spouse complains that I play too much games on the computer and my consoles and said it was bad for health till her cousin who was watching super bowl this year had a heart attack and needed air ambulance service . Yup! a real emergency and he was air lifted to the nearest heart specialist hospital. So now whenever she complains – i remind her about her cousin’s hobby and told her that she never have to air lift me to anywhere – because I don’t do sports – hahha! but seriously, it was watching Super bowl and the team he was rooting for lose that raised his blood pressure and stress level – thus causing the collapse.

I was shocked too – and after getting over the initial shock – I think I did laugh and sniggered a bit as well – because i would never imagine that Super Bowl can cause death in their die-hard fans. Prevention? dont’ watch Super bowl or get a good emergency plan in case you do get a minor attack – that seems so bad that freaked everyone out.

The nephew who is into wrestling recently had asked for some home wrestling mats for his passing present and these mats are a necessity when he needs to practice. So we went online to check out its prices and find out where to buy them since we don’t have a wrestling store in town. As strange as it seems – the wrestling club here do not carry a wide range of wrestling accessories that is needed for running the club. Lucky for us – we are pretty computer savvy and could find just about anything online. So we did find one with lots of things that he wants – so now he is contemplating if he should get those wrestling mats or a headgear. Oh well, we may end up buying him both.

While I am into hunting games like Cabela Big Hunt and Hunting Unlimited 4 that I’ve just bought – my dad and brother is into the real hunting and buying of bushnell rifle scopes. While I loved the comfort of hunting in my tv room – my dad and brother and all my uncles loved to rough it out. Hunting Unlimited 4 is pretty intense – as I showed my siblings and the scenarios are pretty realistic too. But my brother and dad insisted on showing me the real thing and real fun, so they loan me one of their hunting rifle with night vision rifle scope and we did just that last week. I came home with bad mosquito and black flies bites but I did have fun camping out with them and sharing a beer or two. I won’t be going with them a lot for real hunting but it was a good experience just to hold the rifle and check out all the things the rifle scopes can do.

An online friend of mine who is on disability insurance said to me the other day that online gaming is good for his health because it keeps his mind active and adrenalin pumping. Online gaming can be quite an experience because you get to be friends with people from around the world and some turn to be good friends and you actually learn all sorts of things from them. From health care to where to buy the cheapest 2nd hand games. This online friend of mine talked about his disability insurance as compared to ours here in Canada and how he got help for it from professionals. In the United States – they have what they called the SSDI benefits but here it’s called social assistance. We don’t have Medicare plan like they have it in the States but we do have the MSI that covers our doctor’s visit and hospital stay, so it’s great to know how the difference and chat about it.

While not all Torontian are on human growth hormone supplements – they can now make use of the Bixi bike share program that was recently launched this week – to better their health and save the earth. We all want to be healthy and happy and one way is to boost our immune system. So the program by the city of Toronto will be renting out about 1000 bikes – that Bixi users can rent with their bixi cards without a lot of hassle and drop off the bike after using it – at a designated station. Montreal already had this program for a long time now with about 230K people using the bikes. Rentals are cheap and I would definitely rent the Bixi bikes if I am living in Toronto but for now I’ll have to take my growth supplements to keep healthy.

Plus since she has diabetes – it’s a must to keep the weight down and also to make sure whatever she is taking does not have any side effect, so if anyone knows about sensa – if it can really help one lose weight – give me a shout eh.

People who plays a lot on computers and game consoles and rarely exercises – are recommended to use colonetix every now and then – so the buddy told me the other day. Why? they said it helps with constipation, and of course – the weight problem from sitting in front of the computer for a long time everyday and not moving an inch and if you have acne4 – more so you have to use it. Colon cleansing is to cleanse your body from toxic from your daily intake of junk food and junk everything. I read that if you are always tired and have no energy for anything except for sitting down and finds it hard to sleep – or even having bad breath – it is time to get rid of those toxin in your body – with colon cleanse. Come on geeks – you do not need to be unhealthy just because you are called Geeks!

The spouse spends a lot on her hair – from cutting them – styling them and then coloring them – the color are not permanent – and if she wasn’t careful on what the hair-stylist use – she tend to have her hair dropped more than usual. But she still loves to have her hair colored. So now she is searching for the best hair loss products to help – I’m guessing with her crown of glory. She doesn’t want to lose her hair – but neither does she want to leave it with just one color – so there is a no win situation here but I’ve learned to go with the flow and let her get what she thinks she need. As long as she thinks it’s good for her – what can I say eh? as for me – I don’t care about losing my hair – if it wasn’t so cold here in the winter – I would have cut bald.

My job doesn’t require much physical labour, except lugging computers around and those are usually pretty light these days. So in the last 12 years, since I start working retail, I’ve put on about 50lbs. I’d like to lose about half that. Any monkey could tell you that the best supplements for weight loss is to stop eating junk food and stop snacking in the evenings and before bed. And that monkey would be right, I just haven’t put my mind to actually doing it yet. But that day is coming, maybe this spring when the weather starts getting nicer and I don’t need the extra padding to help keep warm.

Weight Watchers, P90X, Simply for Life, and the list goes on. I’ve never tried any of them and don’t plan to. What seems apparent to me is that it’s not important what “plan” you use, what’s important is having the will power to just eat healthy and exercise. If you can do that and stick to it, you’ll be successful too, without spending extra money!
