As I sit and watched the music fest that happened a few months ago  in our town – and remembered some young kids doing things and smoking weed like they didn’t care if there were people around – I wished the town would have a better counseling or rehab center for these kids.  While heroin detox rehab treatment centers  are plenty in Malibu, we don’t have very many in Canada.   It is quite sad to see all these talented young musician smoking and taking things that will affect their lives and wasting their talent away but what can you say or do when we don’t even have a rehab or treatment center here in this town to help this young people. And it’s not just the young musicians that we see doing illegal stuff to hurt their health, a lot of young people here are doing weed, heroin and all kinds of substance.  I enjoyed the music festival but went home thinking if there was a way to help them – I think of my cousin who passed away 1 year ago – because of the same problem – and I walked back to my car feeling quite helpless.  I hear in bigger cities they have more young people on illegal substance – and had we known that my cousin had problems – we would have done something before it was too late.

Yes, LG has a TV that will be 55 inch wide and 4mm thick and that’s the tv i want.   The color is said to be more vibrant – and LG is said to be selling the TV later this year.  We don’t know how much it will be – but it won’t be cheap either I assume.

Now I say everyone can use a projection alarm clock and a weather monitor – every morning – don’t you think?   For about $80 – from Hammacher Schlemmer – this clock has a built in sensor that tells you the time and weather condition.  I like that when I wake up in the middle of the night – I can just look up and see the time and temperature without having to look out the window or having to turn on the computer for an update.

Simple and masculine enough for me – and if I wanted something to catch my cables – it would have to be this – no funky looking colored things that the spouse loved to buy.  But the walnut wood is very expensive at about $42 – so i think I’ll get my brother to make one for me.  Even though it may not be so fine in the finish – I think I will keep my $42 – but if you are not handy – you can buy them from Orange 22.

An infrared heater cost between $299 – $499 but that’s not what I’m concerned about – I’m more concerned about the cost of running it daily.  Will it really save me money?  I’ve read reviews about it and also seen some people that I know talk about it.  They didn’t further elaborate but all of them said it worked well in their basement.  But how much will it save me during the winter – as winter is long here?  anyone knows more about it?

Friends and family can look forward to the little cottage that we are thinking of buying near the ocean front – I am planning to put in some lodge furniture right here in the patio – so that we can have a few card games out here in the summer next year.   Magic Cards players would love this place – because as you can see – we can also have a BBQ here – every weekend you all come out here to play.  The spouse love the BBQ – the kid can use some fresh air – and this would be a nice little investment for us not only to play – but to entertain our families and friends.  As you know the spouse have friends from all over the world – and my kid has 2 godmothers – one from Ontario and another from Singapore – so this little cottage will be used for a guest house for the summer.  Say hello – to our cottage for the summer – we’ve named it Peachy – just like the daughter like.

So you are a gamer and have been buying too much games according to the girlfriend – and not spending enough time with her.  She is upset and wants you to choose between her or your games  – what do you do?  I hear this too many times – from friends and customers – so I tell them to get a home spa gift baskets and have them delivered with a dozen or roses and tell the girlfriend to go buy a new Louis Vuitton handbag.  Now I bet – she wouldn’t be complaining for a few more months.  It works every time and you should try it out yourself and let me know.

A friend had invited the entire family for a BBQ -  in his cottage – which was actually one of those  park model trailers – now I didn’t realized that they were so nice and that there were more than one family in the country having the same kind of model trailers.   So while the family is swimming by the lake and bbqing – the guys did some gaming – of Magic there.   Now the spouse got really interested in it because of my brother who lives out in the woods near my parents.   She figured if it wasn’t expensive and affordable – maybe my brother should buy something like this model trailers instead of living out in his little cottage that he built himself that doesn’t have electricity.  Now that is an option worth thinking of for my brother – for we’ve always wondered if his cubby hole is safe for him.  But having said all that the spouse had mentioned that we might want one too – for a summer hideout in the country.  It would be nice – near the lake for the kid loved to swim.

The nephew who is into wrestling recently had asked for some home wrestling mats for his passing present and these mats are a necessity when he needs to practice.  So we went online to check out its prices and find out where to buy them since we don’t have a wrestling store in town.  As strange as it seems – the wrestling club here do not carry a wide range of wrestling accessories that is needed for running the club.  Lucky for us – we are pretty computer savvy and could find just about anything online.  So we did find one with  lots of things that he wants – so now he is contemplating if he should get those wrestling mats or a headgear.  Oh well, we may end up buying him both.
