The cover you see may not be the same as the ones in USA but the Canadian one looks like the above.  This movie was better than I thought it would be – Zoe Saldana is Cateleya a young kid who watched her parents get killed in front of her.  So the 8 years old girl only have one thing in mind and that’s to be a professional killer and wants to be trained for it. It’s a pretty good movie – and the plot and the action were quite good – loved all everyone was so scared of her but it was a sad ending.

Finally managed to watch this movie – and even though I normally don’t like chick flick – one has gotta do right by the spouse right? before she turns crazy or evil eye on me.  Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis stars in this movie and it’s about 2 people of the opposite sex thinking that it will work out as friends only but no relationship to their sex life.  Which of course, it wouldn’t work as we all know it.   If you have sex with someone – there is no such thing as no complication – but it was a good movie – check out and rent it at our store for only $3 a night.

I wouldn’t want to watch this movie if not for the spouse – who’ve heard from customers that this was a good movie based on a story book.  And since we’ve just watched a movie by Emma Stone – on Crazy Stupid Love – another chick flick that the spouse wanted to watch.  Anyhow – a review of this movie will be up soon – so check back in a bit because i fell asleep halfway thru’ – will finish watching it this weekend.  If you can’t wait – watch the trailer for now – and don’t go downloading it – go rent and original copy or buy one.

Apple TV was first introduced in 2010 and I’ve heard about it – but haven’t given it a lot of thought till this Christmas.  Why?  I can’t think of anything I want – so when the spouse asked me about Apple TV – I figured I should check it out and see if I should get one too.  After all it’s only $99  – definitely affordable.   But as I’ve read – it’s not as popular after the first couple of months  – because it doesn’t stream from your other devices but only those apps and movies from Apple – or tv shows at $0.99 – now that may not seems a lot at first, but we all know that our tv shows are free here.

So besides watching movies and tv shows thru’ that Apple TV – which you can probably rent from me  – at $3 tax included – there isn’t much else you can do.  They do provide a almost ipod  configuration – for a remote – but besides that – nothing else.  Now if it would stream other movies from my computer – that would be totally different altogether – so for now – I’ll stick to my xbox 360 for my movies.

Local yard sale on FB is fun to watch – especially when the prices are right – but once in a while you have people asking for prices that I would sell the exact things for in a store – so it’s no longer a yard sale find.  These set of Guitar Heroes and games are a good find – unfortunately, I already have too many of the same items in my store – else I would definitely buy it.  As a store owner I can’t afford to pay so much for stuff – but if I was buying it for myself – definitely a great deal.  So when people come in and sell stuff to me – and I quote them a certain amount – and they don’t like it – they really don’t have to sell it to me but instead they choose to be ignorant and call me a rip off.  While I don’t really care about what I’m being called – the spouse on the other hand is different – she wants to smack them for being rude and having no upbringing at all. She said that people like that back her hometown are called kids with a mom but no dad around – therefore – they don’t get taught properly.  Some whipping would do these people good she said.  LOL!

A very annoying knife – and I won’t even think of giving it to my enemy !  very annoying !  this knife screams out sounds of a cow, a pig and various animals  – and even a broccoli but actually of someone asking you not to cut them up.  The knife even cries for you when you cut onions and plays a victory jingle  when you slice into birthday cake. You can even record your own custom sounds for special occasions. Cutting the wedding cake? A man screams.   Annoying as hell !  but if you want to annoy someone – that bad – get them at $29.99 from ThinkGeek.  Check out the video and you will know what I mean by being annoying.

Rift seems to be the in game right now – I see a lot of people playing it.  So will this be a better game than WOW?  Made by TRION and not Blizzard.  Graphics seems good enough and the spouse had been playing with some of his friends for a few weeks now.  But like all online game – a subscription is required.  At this moment, they are charging like $15 a month – a wee bit expensive for my liking.

So it was 24 Season 8 Finale a few days ago – that I’ve watched – and thought to myself – mann!  Jack Baur need some acne scar removal – hahah!  so yes ! once again – Jack Bauer’s didn’t die – even though he was shot and stabbed.  Normally, anyone else would have been dead – paralyzed or disfigured – you get the drift right.  But nope – not Jack Bauer – he is invincible !   Now if only United States has got an agent – like Jack Baur – US would be pretty safe eh.  Anyhow – the end of 24 Season 8 wasn’t much different from what i had expected – but it was kinda sad.   So it’s really the finale – no more Jack Baur next year.

Well, all good things must come to an end right – plus I know that this season was a tough one to make with Jack (Kiefer Sutherland) – always in some kind of trouble – so maybe it was time for everyone to give it a break.  I wonder what Kiefer Sutherland would do now – i can’t see him in any other thing than 24 – but he was in that movie – The Stepfather – which wasn’t too, too bad.   So movies now?  we’ll see.

So we just bought a netbook with Windows 7 Starter on it  – we are so used to our Windows Vista in our old netbook – we find that the Starter comes with limitations.  You see you can’t even change it’s wallpaper for one and you can only run concurrent applications on a PC at a time (this excludes background processes such as anti-virus applications, wireless and Bluetooth, and system tools like Explorer and Control Panel).  So yes – i don’t know what we are planning to do with it – but i’m stopping my rant here to run out and get some natural prenatal vitamins for my best friend.  But an upgrade is most likely to happen anytime soon – i’m going to have to read up more on it.

Looking at my system memory, i didn’t think i have enough room in my computer to bring this movie to watch during lunch – so i only managed to see it yesterday night with the spouse. Renee Zellweger was in it and I for one thought it was a chick flick and had hope for one – but it turned out to be a horror show and good enough else the spouse wouldn’t have watched it with me. Rated for violence – so make sure you don’t watch it with your kids – else i’m pretty sure – they will get nightmares. Horror and Thriller was said about the movie and since this is a Canadian/American movie – we definitely had to watch it. My Verdict – definitely a good watch – even though some stuff don’t make much sense. Watch for yourself and you tell me.

Case 39 is an American/Canadian horror film, centering around social worker Emily Jenkin (Renee Zellweger), who is assigned to a mysterious case involving an abused 10-year old girl, Lilith Sullivan (Jodelle Ferland). After much investigation, Emily’s suspicions regarding her the Sullivans (Kerry O’ Malley and Callum Keith Rennie) ring true when she finds out that the Sullivans were planning to kill their only daughter.

Old Dogs with Robin Williams and John Travolta was hilarious – we watched it like last week but was too busy to write a review for it. So where it is – because I can’t go to sleep – no matter what I do – some sleeping pills is needed here. Anyhow, I do like the movie – and it’s a family show more than an adult show – so the whole family can enjoy it. Old Dogs is about two good friend who insist on not acting old – being in business for 30 yrs, they each has a unique part in their business and their friendship. Their Manhattan public relations firm is on the verge of a huge business deal with a Japanese company. With two weeks to sew up the contract, Dan gets a surprise: a woman he married on a drunken impulse nearly nine years before (annulled the next day) shows up to tell him he’s the father of her twins, now seven, and she’ll be in jail for 14 days for a political protest. Dan volunteers to keep the kids, although he’s up tight and clueless. Anyhow, it’s a great movie – don’t miss it.

I’ve been playing the game for 8 hours so far, and while it was a little slow starting it’s ramping up to be pretty good. The story, as with most FF games, is getting quite deep and involved and is sure to be one of the best things about the game.

Does nutrisystem work? I have no idea. Does the combat system in FF13 work? Sure does! Honestly, I really really miss the golden days of turn based combat where you have time to think and plan your attacks, but the overall feel and speed of combat in FF13 makes up for the lack of nostalgia. Most of the time I find myself just hitting the auto attack button, but needing to change paradigms several times in each battle keeps it from getting boring. I like that battles aren’t random invisible encounters as well, and it only takes a second or two before and after each battle unlike older games where you had to wait 10 to 15 seconds for the battle to load. Every battle.

Oh and as for which version I went with, definitely PS3 for this game. lensoftruth.com had a head2head posted on release day and it’s very obvious that the PS3 version blows the 360 out of the water. Textures are smoother, cinematics are amazing and shadows are more realistic, to name just a few of the things that make it better on PS3. The 360 had a couple of places where it looks better, mainly with the rendering distance, and if all you own is a 360 then get the game anyway, it will not be disappointing. But if you have both systems and an HD TV then PS3 is the way to go this time around.
