Yes, LG has a TV that will be 55 inch wide and 4mm thick and that’s the tv i want. The color is said to be more vibrant – and LG is said to be selling the TV later this year. We don’t know how much it will be – but it won’t be cheap either I assume.

What sets LG’s TV picture apart from other OLED TVs is 4-Color Pixels and Color Refiner which work together to generate natural and accurate colors that are sharp and consistent. The 4-Color Pixels feature allows for more accurate color depiction by using a set of four colors (red, green blue and white) in comparison to the RGB setup used by other OLED TV manufacturers.

Boasting an infinite contrast ratio, LG’s OLED TV exhibits vivid colors and the smallest details regardless of the overall luminance of the on-screen image. In turn, colors and details throughout an entire image are preserved with utmost clarity and sharpness, even when displaying scenes with dark lighting. Such color capabilities are technically impossible with LED and LCD display panels. And at 1,000 times faster than LED/LCD displays, LG’s OLED TV shows crystal clear motion without any blurring or bleeding.”

Started watching this new show called Hung recently, the first season was pretty short and season 2 has already started on TV so I guess it must have had decent ratings. It’s not quite what I was expecting but the show is enjoyable enough. Basically there’s this school coach who is hurting for cash and after taking a self-help type class he comes to the realization that since he has a big dick he can make money by joining the oldest profession in the world.

His male hooking business takes a few episodes to properly get off the ground despite the fact that he doesn’t need to waste time with extenze male enhancements, his pimp just isn’t a very good pimp. I was expecting it to be a little more like Californication, more comedy and less drama, but now that they’re in to a second season I think maybe things will improve with the show.

So it was 24 Season 8 Finale a few days ago – that I’ve watched – and thought to myself – mann! Jack Baur need some acne scar removal – hahah! so yes ! once again – Jack Bauer’s didn’t die – even though he was shot and stabbed. Normally, anyone else would have been dead – paralyzed or disfigured – you get the drift right. But nope – not Jack Bauer – he is invincible ! Now if only United States has got an agent – like Jack Baur – US would be pretty safe eh. Anyhow – the end of 24 Season 8 wasn’t much different from what i had expected – but it was kinda sad. So it’s really the finale – no more Jack Baur next year.

Well, all good things must come to an end right – plus I know that this season was a tough one to make with Jack (Kiefer Sutherland) – always in some kind of trouble – so maybe it was time for everyone to give it a break. I wonder what Kiefer Sutherland would do now – i can’t see him in any other thing than 24 – but he was in that movie – The Stepfather – which wasn’t too, too bad. So movies now? we’ll see.

Parenthood is a new show that just started recently – in fact I think only 4 episodes so far. I had thought it was going to be a sappy show – but it turned out to be pretty good. I think I only started watching it because it had that Gilmore Girls – Roralie in it – so my weight loss supplement reviews had to wait whenever it comes on every week. If you haven’t watched that tv show yet – just don’t forget to check it out. It may be something you can learn from as a parent.

From writer/executive producer Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights) — this contemporary re-imagining of the blockbuster film depicts the colorful and imperfect Braverman family — four grown siblings sharing the headaches, heartaches and joy of being parents. The star-studded cast includes Peter Krause, Maura Tierney, Craig T. Nelson, Dax Shepard, Bonnie Bedelia, Monica Potter, Erika Christensen and Sarah Ramos. When Sarah Braverman, a financially strapped single mother, returns home to her parents and siblings in Berkeley, Calif. after packing up her Fresno apartment and uprooting her two inconvenienced kids, Amber (Mae Whitman) and Drew (Miles Heizer), she is greeted by her opinionated father, Zeek (Nelson), and strong mother, Camille (Bedelia) who are privately dealing with their own marital issues. As Sarah is reunited with her siblings — sister, Julia (Christensen), and brothers Crosby (Shepard) and Adam (Krause) — all struggling with issues of their own, it’s clear that the Braverman reunion is just what they need to face the everyday challenges of modern family life.

So my new TV finally arrived a few days ago but you must know by now how upset I am that I’ve waited for more than 1.5 months for it. I ordered it on Boxing Day and had to spend hours hunting it down with Future Shop and when they finally made the arrangements they gave me the wrong dates and didn’t respond to my email to try and confirm it. They didn’t set it up like they promised, charged my credit card before shipping it and never responded to my emails or calls. I had to keep calling them for more info. I won’t be buying any electronics from Future Shop anymore, my money is going to Best Buy from now on. Yes I know they own Future Shop but I hear much better things about their service compared to FS.

So after waiting over a month and making several phone calls, I finally tracked down the number for Fuckershop’s head office. I called and talked to someone who said that they’d pass it on to the appropriate department and I’d hear back within 4 hours. And someone actually did call! To say the same thing I’ve been hearing over and over. Try Orange NJ invisalign, it’s great. I’m kidding of course, he told me that he was sending the case up to the person in charge of the Home Delivery Service and I should be hearing back within 24 hours.

So the next day I got an email saying that they’ve located my TV and it’s on its way to Halifax and will arrive there on Monday Feb. 5. I should be receiving it Tuesday Feb. 6. I have no idea what calender they are using because Mon/Tues is Feb. 1st and 2nd. so I hope it’s this week and not next, this has dragged on long enough. They also are refunding the cost of the shipping to compensate me for all the trouble and delays. I think I deserve more than that, but I’ll take what I can get.

On my 5th call to Fuckershop my ‘problem’ with my order was escalated a 3rd time. What does that even mean anyway? Escalated to what? The guy says “This time we should hear something because I’m going to be very description in my report to show just how long this has been going on and how long you’ve been waiting for an answer.” Wow. Thanks guy! That’s instills so much more confidence in me regarding the support process going on at Fuckershop!

I bet I could take that Orlando vacation I’ve been planning, come back 3 weeks later and STILL not have my new TV. Oh and get this, he says if I haven’t heard back by Monday that he will change the delivery escalation to a credit escalation so I can get my money back. Fat lot of good that will do though since it was paid mostly by gift cards, I can’t just take my money elsewhere. And now there’s also no chance of getting such a good deal like they had during boxing day. A 52″ LCD for $1199? Doubt that’ll happen again until next Christmas. Yay for me, I get to just keep on waiting!

So I did a bit of shopping around and I’ve found a TV stand I like. It’s more than I was planning to spend, even though it’s currently half price. These things have gotten expensive over the last few years! It’s pretty slick looking though with glass shelves, metal posts and a mounting bracket at the back so I don’t have to worry about the TV getting bumped and falling face first onto the floor. Having a 6 year old in the house makes for worrying times when it comes to new electronics. She’s a good kid though, but accidents can and do happen!

It’s absolutely mind boggling to think of the amount of product a company like Futureshop goes through over the holidays. Take their current boxing day sale as an example. Many of the TVs they have on sale were available in quantities of 3000 or more, and they’ve sold out! I finally cashed in some air miles to get some Futureshop gift cards and ordered myself a 52″ Sony Bravia LCD 1080p TV. It’s only the S series, the bottom of the Bravia line, but I was impressed enough with what I saw in a local store and the reviews I read online that I’m sure it will suit my needs for the foreseeable future. There were over 800 in stock when the sale started, now 5 days later they’re sold out!

Honestly I’m like a hyper kid off his adhd medication waiting for this thing to show up, I keep checking the order status to see if there’s a tracking number yet, but even though it was marked as shipped 2 days ago there’s still no tracking. I guess it’ll be a surprise!

There’s so few good shows on during the summer months that we hardly watch TV at all until right about now when all the new seasons start up. I was pretty disappointed when I found out that 2 of my favorites from last year have been canceled though. Reaper and Terminator were both really good, but of course they keep all that reality bullshit going for years and years cause it’s cheap garbage that draws an audience.

At least some good ones have managed to stick around; Heroes, Supernatural, Smallville and best of all Dexter. We’re only an episode or two into each so far and it’s looking a little whacked in some cases, but it could be interesting anyway so light up a Padron and veg out in front of the TV for a while.

I’d rather have a nice slim LCD or Plasma, something around 50″, and a TV stand to put it on. It’s an excuse to upgrade to something 1080p as well since most Xbox 360 games support it these days. Prices have really come down on those things too, for around $1200 I can pick up a 50″ 1080p Plasma, compared to my current TV which only does 480i/p & 1080i and cost me $3k when I got it a few years back.
