Getting the backyard ready for summer and the trampoline and pool set up would be what I have to do this weekend.   Bought a  pentair pool pump  for the pool and we are now hoping for good weather tomorrow, so that the kids in the neighborhood can swim some and play together.  We don’t go to the YMCA since they have certain times for certain swim and we are not always available during the times they are open, so we’ve decided to invest in a pool for the kid.  Summer is long for a kid who don’t have school to go to – so hopefully, she can spend some time in the pool with her friends while she is home.

The movie is nothing about the movie title at all – but I figured with Michael Douglas in the movie, it wouldn’t be too bad a movie. But Michael Douglas only had a small part in the entire movie – we saw him like maybe 3 times in the movie.   Ewan McGregor was also in the movie – but the movie was all about Gina Carano who is a super black op who was set up during a mission and was then hunted by the cops and her agents – wanting her dead.  Gina wouldn’t let go – and went after just about everyone who was involved in setting her up.  The story was open ended – so that part of it – I really didn’t enjoy.

The Blackberry playbook keyboard that we bought was on sale at a local yardsale and I figured it would be good to own since we do have a playbook.  Typing would be so much easier for us when we need to type a email – and having the cover adds double protective measures to make sure that your playbook will not be destroy so easily.  But let me warn you that you won’t be able to charge your playbook when you have the keyboard on – you can but then it makes it impossible to type almost.  But it’s a nifty gadget to own and if you get it for the right price – it’s great else I won’t bother.

What a interesting speaker for your ipods – and also an expensive one too!  costing close to a 475 euros average – I don’t think many people can afford the price.   But it does sound pretty good and can be ordered online from Thodio’s website @ http://www.thodio.nl/english/productpage – they also accept paypal which is a good thing for people like me – who don’t want to let the spouse know how much I spent on gadgets.

There are lots of toys I would like to have and own just like this BEATs Studio Headphones – love the new colors but at $1000 a piece, I think I need to have a special occasion before I can allow myself to buy them.   Unless most guys, I can wait for it to go down in price before getting one and the slick trick  of gadgets are – they do get cheaper in a few months sometimes.

Another toy I would really like to get is this music bandwagon – that allows you to play any 331/3 vinyl without any electricity. Using a 9 volt battery – put it on top of your vinyl player and the music emits out from the VW licensed player.   For $99 – this bandwagon can be yours – and any music lover or the classy ones would love to own one and so do I.

On sale on Etsy – this mushroom casing for a PC goes for $1600 – cool looking for sure – but hey ! who could afford a $1600 casing right? But yes, there are peopel who would pay this price for sure – I would too if I was a millionaire or have extra money to play around with – but I can always look and admire right?  Check out the PC case from Etsy.

I don’t mind getting a mini – iPad for my kid – that’s for sure – about half the prize and half the size – that was the rumor that surfaced 4 days ago.  But in actual fact, it was on the internet since last year and even though Steve Jobs never like the idea of a small iPad, now that he is gone – could Apple be really looking into a smaller size and a better priced mini iPad?  Will this affect the sale of the Windows 8 tablets going out on sale later this year?    But from what I see – the Kindle Fire would be more threatened by the mini iPad because they haven’t got the Kindle Fire in Canada nor UK yet.

I guess the  restaurants in town should  be the ones  investing in this said pump, I think it would definitely benefit them in the long run.  No worries about choking the sink nor having to worry about not being able to get a plumber in – in time or stinking the restaurant.

The curved monitor isn’t new actually – I had seen it in a review sometime in 2009 but for those die hard gamers out there who has $6500 to spare – this curved monitor is for sale.  43″ Ostendo CRVD is said to be the first for commercial use and has a resoluation of 2800 by 900.   This CRVD works with any current graphic cards and drivers plus games – so you don’t need any special patches for the hardware or software.   I loved it – but cannot afford it – lets hope I strike lotto Max this weekend going for $30 million.

As you can see – we are in the midst of renovating the basement – finally!  when it is done – our exercise machine in the tv room is going down here.  This will also be my gym as well as entertainment room and while the spouse is using the mirrors we are going to have in the basement to keep fit – I will be toning my muscles as well.  We are pretty pumped up with our renovation and getting ready to start our new working regimen – I’ve even gotten the  best testosterone supplements  to help me with toning my body. Besides keeping fit – I want to look good for some events coming up in the summer – weddings and conventions that I’m attending with the spouse.   So 2 weeks from today – we should have the basement all done – and we will have more space for exercising.

So my kid was playing this bunny shooter game for 99 cents on the iPhone – and she was having loads of fun with it and for 0.99 cents, so we were all happy for abit but wait a minute – after a few play it asked if we wanted to upgrade for $1.99 .  Well, we thought it would be alright to pay for a full version for $1.99 – so we paid for it.

And a few weeks later – the game  asked for another upgrade *slap forehead* – for $19.99 now!!!  daylight robbery !  so nope – we are not paying $19.99 + 0.99 cents and another $1.99 cents for a stupid bunny game!  no way!

We have been watching this show the “Pawn Stars” and although you wouldn’t think that you would learn anything from the show – well you are wrong because this show taught me about guns and musical instruments like none other.  I never knew about Gibson Les Paul guitar or its value till I watched this show – so now if anyone show up at my store with a Gibson, I would know straight away what kind of prices they had paid for it or if they had bought the guitar from  TC Electronic Guitars  for they do carry the Gibson guitars.  A simple 2012 Gibson Les Paul Standard can cost one up to $2500 – and I just saw one on the show from the 1960s – so that cost really quite a fair bit of money.  I think the pawn shop bought it for $85K – yes ! mighty huge money there.  It’s entertaining and I get to learn the value of some stuff that comes into my own store – so that’s a good show in my opinion.

I wouldn’t mind getting this limited and special edition shoe from Reebook – in collaboration with Solebox during their 10 anniversary special.  This Reebok Omni Zone Pump has built in LED lights on the side and glows in the dark – going for about $230 – in a few days.  Lets hope I can get a pair and not have them sold out on me before I can get to the Solebox website.  Oh you can’t get them anywhere else because it’s only exclusive to Solebox.

For $50 – I think I will continue to annoy my co-workers with an ordinary pen if I am the fidgety kind.   I think it is a neat pen – don’t get me wrong – but for $50 – I think my wife would kill me.   But if you want one – and have $50 to throw – go right ahead – don’t let my 2 cents stop  you.  Think Geek.com.
